River Forest Kitchen is now Hub Kitchen
River Forest Kitchen was started in 2014 to support local chefs and food entrepreneurs through a shared commercial kitchen and culinary community. Many successful food enterprises got their start at River Forest Kitchen including The Daly Bagel, Joy Milk Tea, and many others.
In 2023, RF Kitchen announced it was closing its doors after 10 years, effective January 2024. Longtime entrepreneurs and River Forest residents, Dan and Misty Olson knew they must find a way to keep this valuable resource in the community. As tenants of the kitchen via their son's business, Spoke Cafe, they knew firsthand how important a space like this was to local culinary businesses. They quickly found space at 7225 W North Ave and launched Hub Kitchen so that operations could continue and kitchen clients were supported. Dan and Misty are now excited to be actively managing and growing Hub Kitchen and its culinary community.
